The gatherings of large groups in public buildings has paused. But that really has just been about brick and mortar standing unused.
The life of the church has gone in. Which is not surprising. The church is all those, in all places, at all times, who have gathered spiritually, relationally, and purposefully by Christ to Himself. Blessed by Him to be a blessing.
And amongst care, prayer, provisions, encouragement, and hope - one evidence of all this has been the cooperative efforts of Christians in so many nations to separately record, and then bring together as one song, versions of this benediction from the Bible set to music and presented as a prayer.
Light, life, love...
Yes, the Sunday morning physical assembling of people has paused. But the church hasn’t. In fact in some ways the church has become more evident to me at least! because it is more obvious that it doesn’t begin and end at the front door and back wall of a particular building - but it is anywhere (and is everywhere!) across the town, state, nation and the world that Jesus followers are found. One song, many singers..
One Faith
One Hope
One Lord
Ephesians 4:4-6
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all,who is over all and through all and in all.
